I did a lot of things in 2023 that I'm proud of, I improved. I pushed myself further than I ever have. I started thinking more like an artist by being intentional about what I wanted to photograph and create. I also learned more of who I am as a photographer.
Art is so subjective, and it's easy to get lost in trying to create what you think others would like. I don't care about that so much anymore. I am my subject. I am my muse. My photography is my art. It is a reflection of ME, and I am so many things. Going forward, I will focus on photographing what speaks to and what moves me. I mean, I already do, but I am giving myself permission to do it unapologetically. I have a gift. Honoring my authentic self is how I thank the universe and show gratitude for this special gift. Happy New Year indeed. The journey continues...
